The Advisory and Programme Delivery division delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity from £million's to £20bn, through the Technical disciplines of Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting, Education and Healthcare Management.

Our Buildings portfolio is primarily a UK business working in both the Public and Private sector of the Construction Market. We provide Cost and Project Management services for a wide range of clients including Central Government, Local Authorities and Private clients. We work in the majority of buildings market sectors including workplace, residential, law and order, health, education, retail, sports and commercial property. Job Description

* To compile a preparation plan to initiate a new project, form project documentation
* To define and identify WBS (Preliminary Design and Construction Attributes) for a range of works necessary to implement the project
* To evaluate and create a functional Project duration of project works based on WBS created
* To prepare and monitor the schedule of the project progress
* To manage and supervise the project team and associated stakeholders
* To manage and finalize creation of technical specifications and contracts with providers and stakeholders (Designer, Client, Governmental entities) of the project
* To supervise, manage and monitor quality, risk, cost, schedule, content, communications, and documentation of the project
* To participate in forming reports on the progress of the project in accordance with project contract conditions
* To organize control of the target use of funds in accordance with the project budget
* To organize control of the internal and external commercial aspects of projects across a range of contractual arrangements. Regular update of the budget
* To prepare tender documentation, control and conduction of tenders, evaluate tenders and participate in pre-tender negotiations and clarification of any ambiguity in the documents with prospective vendors

Requirements

Candidate specification

* Degree educated in relevant construction industry discipline
* Experience in both evaluating and costing projects
* Experience in working within a pressurized environment and delivering to tight deadlines
* Thorough knowledge of contracts administration practices, procedures, different contract types, contract terms and provisions, business practices and commercial custom
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
