Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Purpose:
- Responsible for all cash transactions within the store.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all related transactions as per internal guidelines and provide a best-in-class customer service to maintain highest level of customer satisfaction.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Support store GM to measure customers’ satisfaction and guarantee professional image of Central Cashier Office team.
- Participate with the management team to the store’s Strategic Plan and guarantee its proper (correct) execution in the section.
- Ensure the security procedures (assets and employees) are respected and implemented.
- Ensure that all cash transactions are accurate and timely in the system.
- Guarantee the quality of services offered to store customers, listen to them & react immediately to their suggestions.
- Monitor the performance of the team at cash counters and provide solutions to increase productivity and profitability of the payment process by increasing customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that customer information is collected at the cash register as and when required for internal analysis/reporting purposes and submit the data timely to the requesting department.
- Ensure timely and accurate transition of cash from the store to the bank and manage the required data entry process.
- Ensure compliance to Central Cashier Office policies and procedures.
- Respect and monitor compliance with Key Insurance Policy.
- Implement control systems to avoid fraud possibilities and report immediately any incident or suspicion or misconduct to the concerned.
- Train Cashiers and Trolley Boys regarding expected Customer Service standards.
- Report to Store Management customers suggestions and complaints.
- Guarantee a proper stock management regarding consumables & stationery in the department (in line with objectives).
- Guarantee strict control and Proper record of all corrections, cancellations, returns and price changes.
- Ensure the implementation of a monthly inventory of trolleys and baskets, report to be forwarded to FC.
- Ensure the smooth passage of customers in cash registers and the quality of service offered.
- Ensure the implementation of customer welcoming approach process.

Requirements

Personal Characteristics and Required Background

Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed):
- Good Communication Skills
- Good Mathematical Skills
- Safe Handling
- English (Full professional proficiency - Required)
- Arabic (Limited working proficiency - Preferred)
- Country Language where applicable

Minimum Experience:
- 5+ years in Retail Business with experience in Customer Service/Cashier
- 3+ years in managerial role in Retail

Minimum Qualifications/education:
- High School Degree.
- Bachelors’ degree in Administration or Finance preferred
