Buyer - Cosmetics

Job description / Role

Quest Search & Selection is looking for an exceptional Buyer for a leading retail company to join their energetic team in Kuwait. The position mainly focuses on their Cosmetics department and obtain the highest quality goods at the lowest cost, and build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.

As the Buyer you must have the following:

* Ensure sales objectives and operational costs are in line with agreed business plan for the respective category
* Develop market positioning and benchmark the competition
* Identify key suppliers, understanding their strengths, capabilities and weaknesses
* Working with technical regarding packaging.
* Liaise with VM and Merchandising to deliver in store graphics and POS
* Manage Critical Path ensuring ranges/product offer is delivered at correct timings

Requirements

* 4+ years' experience as a buyer;
* Be a cosmetic buying specialist and have 3 years plus experience in this category;
* Have global sourcing experience;
* Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques;
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
* Strong supply management skills;
* Bachelor's degree holder
