Construction Manager (Oil & Gas / Marine)

Job description / Role

Experienced marine construction manager required for a major oil & gas project in Kuwait. Adept Personnel are currently assigned to one of the worlds leading multi disciplinary EPC contractors who have recently been awarded a 2.6 billion USD project within the region and is due to complete in 2020.

General role & responsibilities;

- Overall in charge for Civil Marine Work, especially Soil Improvement Work – Vibro Floatation, Surface compaction, etc.
- Supervise, Monitor, Coordinate & Control all daily Soil Improvement Work.
- Ensure all Soil Improvement Works are carried out in accordance to the drawings, specifications, method statement, contracts, etc.
- Liaise and coordination of interfaces among internal parties, other departments and all project staff to ensure project meets end-user requirements and project approval and timely completion of the work.
- Plan, direct and coordinate all marine objectives related offshore activities such as dredging – reclamation – soil improvement, etc.
- Provide technical and practical advice to the sub-contractor’s key personnel, particularly for soil improvement works.
- Check and review all documents pertaining to inspection, drawing details requirement and progress as per schedule.
- Provide & inform daily accomplishment report and schedules to Project Manager, the Clients and PMC.
- Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to soil improvement work.
- Responsible for all activities, materials request and equipment request needed for soil improvement work.
- Conduct all manpowers, labours, equipment, daily coordination meeting with Managers and Foreman.
- Manage and evaluate the team

Requirements

Candidate requirements;

- BSc within civil or marine engineering
- Excellent English and Communication skills
- Minimum of 15 years experience (regarding Civil / Marine works) - essential
- Minimum of 3 years experience (regarding soil improvement work such as vibro floatation, surface compaction work, etc)
- Self-motivated and Leadership as team leader
- Auto CAD Operation
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Middle East experience
- Previous Contractor experience in Marine, Offshore, Oil and Gas field essential

An initial 2 year contract will be offered with the opportunity to extend, tax free salary along with rotation, accommodation, food, flights & medical.
