Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World <br><br>Container Inspector<br><br>Under limited supervision this position is responsible physical inventories, accountability, tracking, performing container certifications, visibility of containers utilizing automated systems, and leading assigned team day to day operations.<br><br>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br>1. Provides leadership to team members during the physical inventories, accountability, tracking, performing container certifications, and the visibility of containers utilizing automated systems.<br>2. Ensures tasks are executed in order to meet mission deadlines and required suspense.<br>3. Oversees and conducts inspections of containers and certifies for serviceability.<br>4. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement, DOD 4500.9-R, Part VI and CENTCOM directives as guidelines for container operations.<br>5. Coordinates, tracks, and oversees container movements.<br>6. Responsible for documenting and maintaining accountability of all U.S Government owned containers within assigned Geographical Locations (GEOLOCs).<br>7. Oversees monthly inventories to validate 100% accountability of ISO containers.<br>8. Provide tracking and visibility of containers utilizing automated systems such as JCM and AWRDS.<br>9. Tracks and coordinates the return of commercial containers to ensure no detention or demurrage charges are accrued.<br>10. Submit daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports as required by the department.<br>11. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.<br>12. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.<br>13. Duties may vary dependent on department/section.<br>14. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.<br><br>Education:<br>High school diploma or equivalent required.<br><br>Experience:<br>3-5 years experience in certification of containers.<br>1 year experience working on a Government Contract or prior military experience required.<br>Forklift and MHE experience preferred.<br><br>Specialized Knowledge and Skills:<br>Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.<br>Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.<br>Possess knowledge of Army Supply documentation such as DD Form 1750.<br>Must have working knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications.<br>Possess the ability to multitask.<br>Ability to obtain SAAR approval for NIPR access is required.<br><br>Certification & License:<br>Drivers license required.<br><br>Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:<br>Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.<br>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.<br>Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.<br>Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.<br><br>Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
