Overview:
- Responsible for maintaining updated GIS data base and all interactions related to GIS with other teams inside Company's operations.
- Must be a specialist in managing GIS applications in its entirety.
- Ensures smooth taking over on existing KERP GIS systems and databases inherited from previous PMC - Poses technical skills sufficient to carry out problem solving with GIS systems and interface applications.
- Solves most specialized related problems. Works under general supervision.
- To have certified GIS or Equivalent course is a plus

Specific Accountabilities
- Must be a specialist in managing GIS applications in its entirety
- Ensures smooth taking over on existing KERP GIS systems and databases inherited from previous PMC
- Poses technical skills sufficient to carry out problem solving with GIS systems and interface applications.
- Responsible for maintaining updated GIS data base and all interactions related to GIS with other teams inside Company's operations.
- Solves most specialised related problems. Works under general supervision.
- Operate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software
- Develop, manage and coordinate documentation and drawings in consultation with project engineers
- Process raw digital geographic data into GIS or CAD formats and provide specialist mapping services
- Maintain and implement the group's GIS applications
- Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints and project objectives are satisfied
- Ensure that work is checked effectively before issue

Quality Assurance
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Business Unit
- Safety - Responsible for personal safety safe working practices as part of the Business Unit . Understand and follow OH&S procedures

Requirements

Essential Skills/Experience
- Extensive experience in the use of GIS for environmental and engineering studies and working in a multi-disciplined engineering environment
- Demonstrated ability to undertake data collection, processing, verifying for accuracy and completeness, under limited supervision
- Demonstrated ability to use management and leadership skills
- An excellent communicator, both verbal and written

Mandatory Requirements:
- Degree in B. Sc. Computer Science / Information Technology OR Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
- Minimum 10 years total post graduation experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in same designation
- Locally available in Kuwait candidates are preferred.
