Job description / Role
Lead Structural Engineer - For Building Construction Project - Kuwait
- Reviewing shop drawings and validate the development of structural spatial 3D model and linear & non-linear structural analysis.
- Preparing and submitting the quality control procedures, reports and documents.
- Review and validate fatigue analysis and evaluations for steel & concrete structures
- Management of Structural design Shop Drawing production to satisfy technical specifications
- Responsible for detail analysis, design and shop drawing for steel structures as well as tensile membrane structures.
- Comparing structural contract drawings with other discipline drawings, identifying deviations and developing & implementing solutions.
- Develop Engineering and BIM department’s responsibility matrix based on the project specifications and company’s standards and maintaining it.
- Performing Engineering Integrated Design coordination, using full BIM implementation, of all disciplines and design subcontractors for preparation of coordinated shop drawings, IFCs
- Deliver estimates in a timely manner from estimating documents (drawings, specifications etc.).
- Interfacing with consultant/client, sub-contractors and other discipline engineers, participating in technical meetings and suggesting cost effective solutions.
- Preparing & submitting design documents, Request For Information (RFI) and construction method statements including technical documents between inter related discipline as per contract specifications/documents.
- Managed a team of engineers and utilized quality & structural techniques for civil construction of structures.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma/BE Civil engineering.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 15years
- Should have good experience of handling construction of residential or industrial commercial building projects.
