Employment: Full Time

Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant's ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant's behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A bachelor's degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD - Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations. Candidates with a current Visa 18 (residency visa) are excluded from the education requirement.

Purpose: The Logistics Operations Center (LOC) Supervisor-Current Ops (MOC) is responsible for operational planning and synchronization of the maintenance operations which support routine and non-routine mission requirements for Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS-5).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the equipment maintenance operations discipline.
- Performs customer service for Maintenance Operations GCSS-A related activities in accordance with the GCSS-A End User Manual (EUM).
- Validates, monitors, and researches Maintenance related GCSS-Army Work Orders, CLIX transactions, Service Schedules, Unscheduled Maintenance actions and provides resolution on complex issues.
- Handles multiple Maintenance operations taskings simultaneously and provides updated status to the Government customer on schedule and mission performance weekly through CDRL input requirements.
- Ensures assigned staff is properly trained to perform mission related analysis including but not limited to workload analysis, skill sets availability, task scheduling impacts, requirements for external coordination, and determination of both specified and implied tasks required to complete an assignment.
- Provides timely, accurate, and Maintenance Operations relevant information to the Department/Project leadership and the customer.
- Generates Maintenance related reports from GCSS-Army or other LIS system as required.
- Provides logistical support to other operational and support elements as required.
- Conducts and participates in scheduled, unscheduled meetings, briefings or planning exercises.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
- 5 years of U.S. Military equipment Maintenance operations experience and be well versed in Army operating methodologies, Maintenance processes and the use of appropriate logistic information systems.
- 3 years' experience in a lead or supervisory or management role preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Must possess the appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of Army operating methodologies and the use of appropriate logistics information systems.
- Must have strong working knowledge related to vehicle/equipment scheduled/unscheduled maintenance processes.
- Must be fully capable of performing maintenance related research through the use of AR's, DA PAM's, TM's, TB's and any other related equipment resources.
- Must have complete knowledge of GCSS-ARMY with advance skill sets within the Maintenance modules, as well as an understanding of AESIP, LDAC and MMIS.
- Must have advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite of products.
- Must have the ability to prioritize operations based on mission/customer priorities.
- Must have advanced written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

Certification, License & Clearance:
- GCSS-A certification in core competencies as well as Maintenance Manager level certification required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain NIPR access to USG STAMIS required.
- Secret Clearance is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
