Job description / Role
Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Music subjects at Middle School-Secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.
Meeting with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behaviour. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Music from a recognized University in the UK, US, CA, AU, NZ
- TEACHING QUALIFICATION FROM ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ countries (Due to Visa Restrictions)
- Must have excellent English communication skills
- Must have excellent classroom management skills and able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues
Requirements
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years Music teaching experience at appropriate grade levels
- Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible and able to work in a continuously changing environment
Monthly Salary Range:
- TAX FREE Salary range from KWD 725 to 1,175 depending on qualifications and years of experience
Housing:
- Furnished 1 - 2 bedroom apartment depending on family size. Utilities included
- Health Insurance Coverage:
- Medical insurance for employee only. Candidate is responsible for dependents
Annual Air Tickets:
- Return Annual air fare for employee only. Candidate is responsible for dependents.
- Relocation air ticket also provided at beginning and end of contract for employee only
Leave:
- In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar and as per the country Labour law. Minimum 30 work days per year
- Dependant School Fees:
- Staff children discount is 50% for 2 dependents when attending same school as employee
Visa & Medical Check Fees:
- Resident Visa Fees will be paid for employees only when done in Kuwait. Employee is responsible for fees for dependents
End Of Service Benefit:
- Receive 21 days basic salary for each full year of service. Plus economy air ticket to place of permanent residence according to Labour Law of the country
Contract Period:
- 1 year contract - renewable
Location:
- Kuwait City
Paperwork Requirements:
- Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements
