Plant and Workshop Manager

Job description / Role

The candidate must be able to lead and direct the daily operations of the workshop and plant to ensure on time delivery to the business and with budget objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations of the company's workshop for plant operations;
- Daily management and maintenance of department's assets which includes heavy machinery and heavy duty vehicles;
- Daily management of resources within plant operations including scheduling and people direction;
- Ensures compliance with ISO9001 and QA/QC standards;
- Effective departmental reporting and administration;
- Budget management;
- Vendor management;

Requirements

- Minimum 10 year’s experience in the field, 5 years in a similar position.
- Strong managerial skills.
- Excellent technical/mechanical experience.
- ISO knowledge/experience.
- Know-how of preventive/routine maintenance
- Knowledge on working with SAP/TALPAC
- Hands on experience with asphalt and ready mix plants
