Principal Engineer / Project Manager – Drainage

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (“PAHW”) is undertaking a series of projects in the form of new large urban areas, outside the current Metropolitan Area. Parsons Brinckerhoff has been awarded overall project management responsibility in addition to providing transportation planning, traffic engineering, highway planning, highway/bridges engineering and drainage engineering services.

As such, we are recruiting for a Principal Engineer / Project Manager - Drainage to join the team in Kuwait.

Position Specific
• Manage projects or main tasks related to Infrastructure projects
• Carry out Design work for Storm water Drainage
• Prepare drawings and technical specifications and documents in accordance with clients requirements
• Provide effective strategic leadership and advice in area of expertise.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior staff
• Assist in preparation of proposals
• Interface with client staff to explain submittals

Requirements

Work experience & Knowledge
• Knowledge and experience in storm water management design and modeling by utilizing state-of- the-art industry standard software.
• Knowledge of road and other utilities design is a plus
• Knowledge of international best practice
• Knowledge of middle East practices is a plus
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practices and policies within the workplace.

Essential Qualifications
• BS CE, 15 years experience; experience in international best practice.

Desirable Qualifications
• Knowledge of UK/ USA standards and procedures.
• Previous experience in Middle East
• Project management skills
• Proposal writing skills
• Arabic/English bilingual
