Sales Manager Based in Kuwait

This is your chance to be part of a large multi-national company working with some of the most world famous names in mass-market personal care and cosmetics. Our client has partnered up with their local distributor in Kuwait, and is looking to recruit a sales manager for Kuwait. This role will come under the headcount of the distributor and you will manage the entire consumer products for our multi national client. You will report on all operational matters to the principal regional head office based in Dubai.

This is a challenging role that has a wide range of responsibilities including man management, budgeting, marketing and sales. You will need to prepare budgets by brand by SKU in line with the distributor and the principal and assist in setting the trends per brand. There is a team of sales reps that need to be managed closely in terms of setting call cycles, monitoring daily orders form the reps, conducting random audits and overseeing the business development. This aspect of the role will be very hands on and will require you to travel the local Jordanian market. The merchandising team will also come under your responsibility. You will oversee the implementation and ensure standards are met for all branded displays. As you will be working in the mass market, the promotional activities will be quite intense. You must allocate the quantity of promotions per trade channel by customer and ensure the sales reps are all aware of the promotional dynamics.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, our client has requested that all candidates be male Arabic speaking with good knowledge of the Kuwaiti market. You must have 5 years experience in a direct FMCG sales role within a distributor or a principal. You must have at least 3 years experience in a supervisory role. All candidates must have strong leadership skills and possess excellent communication skills. This role needs someone who is commercially savvy and has led intense negotiations with their trading partners. As you will be required to conduct a lot of analysis, you must have excellent numerical and report writing skills.
