Senior Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure

Job description / Role

We are now seeking an exceptional Senior Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure to join our award winning team based within our Kuwait office.

This critical role will be responsible for the production, verification and assessment of technical designs, plans and associated documentation during the different stages of infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering and project requirements.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include:

- Designing electrical power network EHV/HV, MV, LV overhead/under ground cables, substation and lighting for the assigned projects as per the the BMS procedures of the company.
- Preparing design drawings/reports, technical specification and BoQ for the electrical design works including major equipment for pumping/process stations.
- Preparing design documents and drawings for all design stages of transporation and infrastructure projects in compliance with the local codes, regulations and international standards such as MEW Kuwait, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IEEE, NFPA etc.
- Liaising with Client and authority representatives for obtaining design approvals.
- Replying to the RFIs for the contractors' queries on the design drawings.

Requirements

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' career experience in electrical power networks and lighting design for roads, pumping/ process plants and infrastructure master-planning partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional affiliations such as IEEE, NECA, IET, etc will be viewed favourably.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Arabic are required.
