Job description / Role
• Design and build Structural Display concepts using Artios CAD / 3D modeling software
• Technical and code review of structural design calculations and construction drawings.
• Prepare project development reports, type selection studies, construction drawings, project special provisions and other project development documents.
• Interface with clients, vendors and contractors to develop work scopes, engineering man hour estimates, proposals, design criteria and conceptual/final designs.
• Mechanical aptitude required. Ability to convey concepts with quick sketches and creative 3D problem solving skills
• Work collaboratively with Design Manager, Sales personnel and other designers and offices to develop customer programs; participate in or lead project review meetings with Sales, Project management and other designers
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Must have a minimum of at least 10 years of Structural Design experience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as well as successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Extensive knowledge of Artios CAD, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Team player that works well under minimal supervision and adapts easily to fast and ever changing requirements
