Site Quality Coordinator - Central Production Facility - Kuwait
We at Alshaya are currently looking for a Site Quality Coordinator - Quality Control for our Central Production Facility located in Dajeej - Kuwait
Job Roles & Major responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for Daily Quality Control Tasks and assigned duties to ensure the food safety compliance system in the production facility
- Reporting & escalation of food safety and quality issues with regards to raw materials, work in process & finished products
- Should be able to control and manage the finished products which are made to Alshaya standards and brand specifications
- Monitoring of CCPs, PRPs, and GMP/Hygiene standards through internal audits and inspections
- Performing Verification of internal calibration for equipment on scheduled frequencies & validation of CCPs, refresher training to staff on procedures and work instructions
- 4. Coordinate with concerned departments and help in customer complaint investigation and internal Non-Conformance issues and escalation of the same to higher management
- Support the Operations by the creation of Work Instructions/SOPs & Quality alerts; Education & training of staff using Toolbox talks (TBT) / Involvement with NPD in product development trials and training
- Should be able to create Quality management reports for complaint trends, trials, validation studies, and product complaint investigations
- Management of lab testing, creating microbiological & organoleptic schedules and chain of custody, and analysis of product testing reports
- In the absence of the Quality Supervisor, assume full responsibility for the QC activities and perform with minimal supervision9. Generate suggestions for continuous improvements, Actively Participate in continuous improvement initiatives/projects within the department
Technical Skills Required:
- Versatile in MS office tools likes, MS word, excel, PowerPoint and access
- Able to create management reports using quality management tools if necessary
- Numerical ability, analytical skills, and critical thinking
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Should have a good understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems
- Background in Food Science & Technology graduation / Food microbiology / related discipline with at least 2+ years of food manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance, HACCP, ISO, and related quality systems
- Preferably Quality system certification in HACCP, basic food safety & hygiene courses
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems
