Job description / Role
Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant's ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant's behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A two-year college degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD - Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations.
Perform a variety of duties which include operating the mailroom in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD), US Army, US Postal Service (USPS) and Military Postal Service Agency (MPSA).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Distribute mail to appropriate recipients or departments
- Maintain record of incoming mail
- Count and record inventory items
- Assist in filing and archiving documents.
- Perform data entry activities
- Maintain adequate mailroom supplies
- Replenish supply of post office forms
Requirements
Experience:
- 6 months or more of experience in military APO, Fleet Post Office (FPO), or USPS operations preferred.
- Similar experience in the customer service field preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
- Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook and other related applications.
- Must be able to anticipate internal client needs.
- Must have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Current valid driver's license.
- Secret Clearance is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Active Clearance is required : Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.
Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
