Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Update ledgers, accounts, and reports within governmental time limits to facilitate ongoing reconciliation of financial data and maintain awareness of the company's financial position.
• Assist in verifying compliance with taxation regulations, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and company procedures.
• Aid in reviewing budgets, financial forecasts, and preparing variance reports, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits, providing accurate and timely information.
• Facilitate proper communication between business partners (logistics, marketing) and accounting to record expenses accurately and validate reported figures across different systems, while developing and maintaining dashboards and automated reports.
• Provide financial support to operational and commercial departments, validate/improve invoices/payments, and develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Support in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, along with regulatory reporting and tax filings, such as annual and periodic program review audits and month/year-end closing processes.
• Review financial statements (P/L, B/S & C/F) by entity on a monthly basis, identifying and rectifying mistakes, and reporting to line managers, Accounting, and ABS teams for proper action.
• Assist in procedural compliance to ensure adherence to all systems and support in achieving various business objectives.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions by controlling transactions according to stated procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA is a plus.
• 3-4 years of local financial/accounting experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
