Senior Manager of Rail & Mass Transit - Lebanon

Linum Consult’s client is a major construction consultancy, well-established in the Middle East. They are currently seeking a Senior Manager specialising in Rail & Mass Transit Transportation projects for their office in Lebanon.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leading and managing the Rail & Mass Transit Department towards achieving their targets included in the Transportation Sector Business Plan
• Providing input for the development of the transportation department’s strategic and business plans; including sales projections, market trends, and project opportunities by region for the Rail & Mass Transit Department
• Developing the department’s budget and raising to the Senior Director of Transportation for review
• Tracking and managing the department’s staff and resources
• Representing the company on rail and mass transit design topics and contributing to enhancing the brand name and reach of the company in the market
• Driving the business development and marketing of the company’s rail and mass transit design capabilities to clients in various regions, in coordination with the Regional Managers
• Supporting proposal presentations to clients
• Overseeing design activities for rail and mass transit projects, including the design of vertical and horizontal alignments, guideways and trackwork for transit projects, such as bus, light rail, heavy rail, etc.
• Sharing rail and mass transit design expert knowledge and supporting the identification and assessment of project risks during the proposal development stage

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering from a reputable University, with a Master’s in Engineering or Business Administration
• PMP certified and Chartered Professional Engineer certification is preferred
• At least 15 years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering and Planning industry, with a history of working on rail and mass transit design projects, such as bus, light rail, or heavy rail
• Demonstrable history of coordinating with other engineering disciplines typically involved in rail and mass transit projects such as architectural design, structural design, drainage, signalling, traction power design, etc.
• Previous experience of working for top tier regional or multinational engineering consultancy companies
• Experience with rail and transit operation studies, such as station location studies, intermodal studies and highway corridor studies
• Fluent in spoken and written English with any Arabic language skills an added plus
