Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Produce project deliverables with clearly defined objectives, timelines, and responsibilities
• Coordinate project activities with consultants and State staff members to ensure alignment and required compliance with FirstNet, NTIA and NIST
• Support project governance bodies and key stakeholder relationships
• Maintain NTIA relationships and ensure appropriate grant management
• Define team processes and building overall organization
• Develop project scope and project plans
• Support FirstNet/NTIA in their meeting preparations and outcomes
• Assist State in consultation process support with local and federal partners
• Review data requirement needs and provide analysis for next steps
• Support project governance bodies
• Develop and implement plans and strategies related to the projects
• Communicate project status to senior management and federal partners as requested
• Ensure that all necessary financial documents are accurate and submitted to the appropriate authority in a timely manner
• Complete and file quarterly reports required under the terms of the grant

Requirements:
• Ensure appropriate grant and financial management
• Ensure all project accounting functions are executed, including managing the budget
• Preparing and filing quarterly SLIGP designated reports
• Process drawdowns of federal disbursements
• Process vendor invoices
• Coordinate match contribution receipt
• Track in kind contribution
• Maintain complete and auditable record of all transactions
• Oversee compliance related issues and report findings
• Administrative support of project governance bodies as required
• Provide project documentation as requested

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum requirement)
• 10 years of experience managing federal grants
• Project Management skills
• Experience working with a Public Safety audience
• Experience with Department of Commerce/NTIA Grants
• Knowledge of FirstNet and NIST activities
• Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A driver’s license valid in the State of NJ
