Employment: Full Time

One of the Globe’s leading Project management consultancies is looking for a Procurement manager to join their project team in Morocco. You will be responsible for procurement on large scale hospitality projects, negotiating with suppliers and working with the procurement and contracts team to ensure project and tender profitability.

As the successful procurement manager you will be responsible for:
- Procurement of materials across the projects lifecycle, ensuring correct quantity and time purchasing to ensure minimising of lead time delays and over purchasing
- Developing relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure a commercially strong procurement strategy
- Tender to potential new suppliers on a project stage basis
- Liaise with the project team to ensure accurate procurement timelines
- Commercial risk management on contracts, analyse variations and implement strategies to minimise risk
- Negotiate cost savings and supplier key performance indicators
- Liaise with the costing team to develop project cash flow schedule and ensure profitability

Requirements

- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Quantity surveying or related subject
- At least 15 years working in procurement for large scale construction projects
- Experience working on Large scale hospitality and Hotel projects is essential
- MRICS accredited is a must
- Fluency in English
- In depth knowledge of working on FIDIC contracts
- Strong commercial acumen and commercial skills
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to react to variations in requirement and contract as well as anticipate site needs and reduce lead time delays
- The ability to work in a fast paced high pressure environment with changing demands
