Job description / Role
Accounts Payables and payment disbursements
- Scheduling of payments relating to local suppliers (retail only).
- Ensure timely settlements to local suppliers, service provides and various other parties in accordance with the agreed credit periods and terms.
- Validate all payments against supporting documents and recommend for payments. Any issues pertaining to supplier settlements should be reviewed and remedial actions should be proposed.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers on all matters relating to the debit and credit notes and ensure that payments are made after adjusting for the receivables and other relevant adjustments.
- Ensure that all payment related entries are timely registered in the Accounts Payable system and applied - matched against the relevant invoices.
- Take appropriate actions on any debit balances appearing in the AP.
- Prepare a vendor aging report for local retail suppliers on a monthly basis and ensure that GL control account totals agree with the AP subsidiary ledger.
- Assist the process of vendor reconciliations by obtaining necessary information from suppliers and follow-up on un-reconciled items and issues.
Others
- Ensure safe custody of data files and accounting records. All accounting documents should be properly filed according to date - serial number order.
- Any other matters pertaining to day-to-day accounting and record keeping.
- Carryout the work of AA- Credit card analysis during his annual vacation.
- Ensure that you are adhered to the company HR, Administration and IT policies at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience
