AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PLANNER

In 2010 we supplied navigation systems to 5 airports, modernizing Oman's navigation surveillance capabilities and increasing flight safety. An increase in air traffic growth has led to crucial need for modernization of Oman's transport infrastructure, Thales is providing security solutions for Oman's largest infrastructure project, Muscat International Airport and for Salalah Airport in Oman's second largest city.

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE PLANNER TO JOIN THALES INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT TEAM IN OMAN.

JOB OBJECTIVE
Plan line and base maintenance activities on OMAN AIR equipped Aircraft related to Thales IFE and connectivity on ERJ, B737, A330 and B787.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan manpower and material for ATS Line and Base maintenance activities.
- Ensure coordination with the customer planning departments.
- Validate with the customer all Engineering Order (EO), Engineering Work Inspection (EWI) or any other task related to IFE & Connectivity.
- Plan Monthly IFE media content loading planning, and ensure the follow up on a daily basis during content loading periods.
- Develop aircraft versus manpower plan as per ATS template and ensure the follow up on a daily basis.
- Plan Software loading based on availability of tools, manpower; aircraft ground time, documentations and ensure the follow up on a daily basis.
- Plan maintenance activities in Thales Information System SERVO
- Plan Bite & Usage OFF tasks for OFF load and Upload on IFC and SERVO.
- Establish recommended Service Bulletin embodiment plan for the customer fleet.
- Coordinate with ATS Maintenance Planning department.
- Perform other duties as requested by immediate supervisor.
- Establish recommended Service Bulletin embodiment plan for the customer fleet. (-this is to monitor compulsory Mod/Rev upgrade SBs)

Requirements

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years' experience in Airline Avionics or IFE at Line or Base Maintenance.
- Familiar in using Aircraft documentation (AMM, ASM, AWM , IPC. Etc.)
- Familiar in using SW tools.

QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Engineering degree or Diploma in Electronic/Avionics/Electrical or IT.
- Basic valid Avionics License (ICAO).

PREFERRED SKILLS
- Fluent in English (Speaking, reading and writing)
- Computer Knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint, words, databases)
- Linux basic knowledge
- Valid driving license
- Communication skills (written and oral)
