Deputy CFO

Job description / Role

The Deputy CFO will oversee the implementation of special projects related to expansion or any other project assigned by the CFO.

Your role will be supporting CFO in managing overall finance functions with focus on business control. Overseeing the implementation of cost efficiency programs, ESG implementation, Benchmarking, financial system implementations and digitalization of finance function by bringing world class experience best practices in these fields.

Core Responsibilities

Investment and Special Projects Evaluations
• Evaluate financial and strategic impact of investment opportunities of the Company via business case review.
• Review board documents with financial impacts.
• Lead the implementation of special projects related to expansion, divestment or any ad-hoc strategic projects

Financial Systems and Digital Finance
• Implementation of upgrades and new ERP systems
• Oversee Financial system, its responsibilities and deliverables
• Support CFO in managing transformation initiatives, including (digital reporting, automation of VAT and taxation, payment systems integrations and IT-Finance developments required)

Manage Business Controlling Function
• Manage the BP and AOP activities
• Support strategy department in developing long term market forecasts and projections.
• Carry out various detailed analysis on revenue and cost and recommend possible opportunities for growth and cost savings.
• Manage OG reporting related to actual performance, forecast and variances.
• Management of CAPEX and OPEX optimization initiatives

Forecasting and Reporting
• Manage Quarterly /periodic forecasting and present to the management.
• Review the work done by the team on detailed analysis of historical data to forecast future trends and cycles.
• Review monthly and quarterly performance reports and presentations and ensure variances on actual vs budget are properly explained.
• Review all the monthly and quarterly reporting to OG for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure press release on quarterly results is accurate

Pricing/ Promotions
• Determine the financial impact of all pricing strategies.
• Ensure financial integrity of all pricing and commission proposals.
• Ensure review of all the business cases relating to consumer and B2B promotions, offers and investments are reviewed in detail by the Business Case Controllers.
• Post Implementation Review

Banking/ Treasury
• Oversee the Treasury Function
• Cash forecast management
• Management of loans and other financing facilities to ensure cash availability at optimum cost

Benchmarking/Cost optimization
• Analyse information gathered on the industry, the competitors and the company and perform benchmark studies to evaluate Company’s' financial performance in comparison to other operators.
• Support outside agencies carrying out benchmarking with required inputs
• Support cost optimization activities of the organization

Revenue Assurance
• Manage The function of Revenue assurance (including reporting and analysis)
• Bring best practices related to fraud management and revenue leakages prevention
• Lead system enhancements and implementation of any RA digital initiatives
• Implement initiatives related to ESG, market liquidity (maker) and other new initiatives proposed by regulators, MSX and other bodies
• Any other initiative or ad-hoc project delegated by CFO.

Requirements

You have a Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting with
• 15 years’ experience with minimum of seven years in a senior financial role in a telecommunication company and a reputed company
• ACCA qualified, Member of CIMA or any similar body
• Significant knowledge of budget planning, monitoring and reporting
• Significant expertise in all aspects of cash and treasury management
• In depth knowledge of all aspects of Cost Modelling
• Strong knowledge in pricing models
• Proven expertise in forecasting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong Project Management Skills
