Deputy Operation & Maintenance Manager - Water Treatment Plant

Job description / Role

The Deputy O&M (Operation & Maintenance) Manager assists the management of Khazzan water treatment plant to ensure that water demand and water quality are met as per the contract. S/He will develop and implement a plan to achieve operation and process efficiency while maintaining the contractual targets.

Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the O&M Engineers to operate and monitor the plant operation
- Ensure relationship with the client, adhere to the contract requirement
- Responsible to enforce HSSE requirements, O&M policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure competency and training requirement,
- Establish methods to meet regulatory requirements,
- Follow and manage the CMMS Software, optimize maintenance and validate technical decision,
- Develop the O&M departments skills
- Manage logistic of human resources and goods to such remote area
- Implement safe and reliable operation
- Manage staff at site

Requirements

- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions; perform mathematical calculations; read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment,
- Minimum 10 years in various positions within an industrial environment, preferably in water treatment, with knowledge of methods, principles and practices of operating, maintaining and repairing plant equipment, instrumentation and associated systems,
- Minimum 3 years experiences of leadership with an understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation and health and safety.

Specific Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Plant Operation (Scada System, automation, etc.)
- Maintenance of water treatment system (pumps, valves, analyzer and instrument),
- Experience of managing a team
