Engineer - Aircraft Maintenance Base Maintenance Section - New Muscat Airport

- Perform inspection and certify maintenance work carried out by him and by non-certifying staff allocated under him on Company’s or customer’s aircraft and airborne equipment to the standards required by the Airworthiness Authority and the Company.
- Coordinate and support the respective Senior Engineer-Assistant Manager, Manager - Engineering Operations in having an effective defect follow up, proper troubleshooting and timely rectification of ADD-MDD, Hold item are cleared in the stipulated time.
- Assist in ensuring proper work documents are raised, controlled and cleared in accordance with approved procedures and methods prior to releasing aircraft for service
- Maintain a controlled record of his certification and training requirements for uninterrupted maintenance certification at all times.
- Carry out any other Aircraft maintenance task as and when directed by Asst Managers, Manager – Engineering Operations, Manager Aircraft Maintenance, Senior Manager.
- Available for one call support and to work on Overtime when required.
- Assist and supplement to other sections, stations and fly along with aircraft as flying engineers and outstation duties or AOG recoveries as and when required.
- Check to ensure that all tooling and equipment provided is serviceable and calibrated and are operated to the Company’s standards and report any unserviceability, to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Check to ensure that all work areas allocated, including aircraft Hangar are maintained in a safe and good housekeeping order.
- Will report directly to the Manager - Engineering Operations, Manager - Aircraft Maintenance in respect of all Airworthiness matters connected with the ‘Terms of Approval’ as described in the Company exposition
- Check to ensure that all manuals and publications used are up to date, treated with care and returned to their storage location.
- Check to ensure that all staff working in the shift adheres to the HSE policies, rules and regulations and standards of the company and comply with regulatory authority requirements.
- Assist in training and development of Omani National staff placed under his control.

Requirements

Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers course with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Basic license - ICAO type II and 5 years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance Division, and having B1 or B2 Type Rating approval on B787 and/ or A330 and / or B737 or ERJ or any aircraft that is certified as third party customer By Oman Air

OR Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers course, with Aircraft Engineers License ICAO type ii, holder of OMAN PACA Engineers License, holder of Oman Air Quality Assurance approval as a B1 or B2 certifying Engineer approved on B787 or A330 or B737 or ERJ 175 or any other aircraft type that is certified by Oman Air.

OR Degree / Diploma in Engineering preferably in Mechanical or Aeronautical with 2 / 4 years of relevant experience respectively will be an advantage.
