Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Wood is currently inviting Expressions of interest for Lead Engineers from all disciplines for our upcoming projects in Oman. Applicants must have experience in :
- Extensive onshore FEED projects
- Middle East experience
- Experience in EPC projects
- Upstream or downstream or Green Hydrogen and ammonia projects.

- Direct and supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers and designers
- Responsible for providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in all pre-FEED/FEED / EPC deliverables in the design and development of projects associated with Oil and Gas processing, production and export, as well as carbon capture processing, transportation and storage
- Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted
- Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility
- Ensures that work under his/her control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner
- Review any design work carried out by third parties (vendors) and participate,HAZOP, HAZID, IPF, reliability studies, and Safety and Facilities Technical Audits
- Establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities / capabilities of existing field facilities to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization
- Identify potential applications for new technology
- Develop actively the local staff to fulfill engineers and role
- Know the environmental aspects (ISO14001) of oil and gas projects design
- Know the safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, HAZAN, IPF classification methodology and implementation, QRA, reliability studies, Fire and Gas mapping and risk analysis techniques)
- Conduct life cycle cost analysis
- Prepare RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for related scopes
- Prepare engineering, construction and material estimation, schedule, resource planning and update resource capacity planning half-yearly
- Be familiar with working with construction engineers and installation schemes

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Minimum15 years of experience.
- Lead and supervised a team of engineers and Designers
- Hands-on experience in Engineering Software's
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent command in English
- Communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals outside of the Company.
- Different Stages of Projects(Concept, FEED and Detailed Design) of large-sized Onshore projects
- Processing/Refinery Plants
