Head of Internal Audit

Job description / Role

Our client is looking to add a Head of Internal Audit to their organisation.

Our client is a leading insurance company in Oman.

The Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for the:
* Development, communication and deliverance of best practice internal audit guidelines and corporate governance
* Liaison with directors, senior management, operational staff and work with external auditors to deliver clean audits
* Communication of concise, logical and deliverable information to the board and wider business to highlight issues and resolutions
* Development of the function to enable it to effectively review and advise on wider business operations and share best practice internally
* Development and improvement of internal audit processes and procedures, in turn improving the quality and consistency of audits
* Establishment of critical audit objectives and setting out the detailed audit approach to them
* Review of audit files and reports including the analysis of recommendations

* General insurance background or similar regulated industry.
* Around 10 years of experience
* Strong audit / risk / compliance background
