Main tasks and Responsibilities:
Position description
- Enforce and monitor implementation of HSSE management system.
- Responsible to evaluate and monitor construction contractors and sub-contractors HSSE performance and ensure compliance to OQ HSSE policies HSSEMS.
- Conduct HSSE management system audits, policies, and procedures to ensure fulfilment OQ and contractor obligation to contract scope of work, project HSSE Plans and programs.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions CAPA, to prevent OQ assets from loss or impact arising from HSSE issues.
- Provision of HSSE technical support to improve HSSE performance.
- Provide technical problem solving, Risk Management, Accident prevention and environmental awareness.
- Provide recommendations & advice for corrective action.by participation in accidents / incidents investigation.
- Advice on the development of HSSE plans and coordinate the implementation to prevent damage.
- Conduct HSSE inspections to identify areas of improvement and best practices.
- Ensure HSSE initiatives are in compliance with business requirements.
- Influence on HSSE culture by spreading awareness, education to the staff.
- Participate actively in the investigation of accidents, to contribute with procedures aimed at protecting workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
- Gather feedback from concerned division's standards of HSSE from an implementation perspective and make necessary changes to prescribed procedures as requisite.
- Follow - up in the field the implementation of Permit to Work, corrective and preventive HSSE checks, investigate incidents, etc.
- Plan the HSSE reports, including monthly reports and data Analysis Trends related to HSEs Functions.
- Implement solutions that educate and encourage internal and external stakeholders to become more collaborative and contribute to increased value.
- Assists in the preparation and implementation of Site Emergency Response Procedures.
- Participate in Crisis Management and Emergency Response training and exercises; be part of on-scene command structure in a field event.
- Reviews the HSSE aspects in the Contractor's method statements, plans, schedules, and procedures to ensure they match the contractual agreements with OQ.
- Actively participate in, contribute to, and promote company occupational health, safety, security, and environment culture.
- Stand-by/on-call duties when required; and
- Any other related tasks that you are requested to perform.

Requirements

Qualification
- Minimum qualifications for this position are a bachelor's degree in health and safety Management or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction or equivalent.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent.
- Certified food safety level 2.
- Excellent knowledge of written, read and spoken English (required) - Arabic - Native
