Maintenance Supervisor

Job description / Role

Main Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and support, identify and resolve technical problems to ensure manufacturing reliability.
- Supervise all maintenance of all electrical and mechanical works in the greenhouse, control room, nursery and the camp facilities.
- Responsible for trouble shooting of all plumbing related works in the greenhouse, control room and the camp facilities.
- Responsible for ensuring the regular maintenance and servicing of farm and pack house machineries and the farm vehicles and is responsible for the record keeping of preventive maintenance schedule, Job card, Calibration records, list of controlled machines and the operating manuals.
- Responsible for keeping minimum required spare parts which is required for avoiding time delay in any operations during emergency breakdowns.
- Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the packing line in the pack house without any major breakdowns.
- Responsible for the maintenance of farm wells and make sure all are in working condition and for this farm well maintenance and tests should be done as and when required.
- Responsible for the monitoring of rodent control inside the farm premises. And preventive measures should be done time to time.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Should coordinate the activities of irrigation system by doing proper maintenance of the irrigation and the drainage system regularly.
- Responsible for regular checking of the climate control system in order to ensure the proper functioning of the control system.
- Responsible for the training of staff and workers on the day to day handling of tools and machineries to avoid any potential breakdowns.
- Check the safety, discipline, training, productivity and working environment of your staff, as well as monitoring the safety, use and reliability of the facilities and equipment under your care
- Responsible for the maintenance of irrigation system for the open field operations.
- Should keep all required documents for the Global GAP and ISO certification pertaining to the maintenance department.
- Should ensure regular inspection of greenhouse and nursery structures and minimise any potential chances of breakdowns.
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety practice and procedures.
- Check the official documents established for the Division such as, work orders, warehouse temperature logs, paid leave, etc.
- Confer with technical team and specialists in order to plan facility renovations or additions.
- Any other responsibilities which is assigned to you time to time as a part of the job requirement by your reporting officer.
- Provide list of equipment and updated on monthly basis report to operation manager
- Performs any other related duties once require.

Requirements

- 2 year experience in supervising an industrial maintenance crew.
- 5 year experience working in industrial maintenance.
- Flexible hours with ability to work weekends. Project management experience. Highly skilled in 480 voltage and control power, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic trouble shooting.
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and a basic understanding of spreadsheets. Strong Communication (verbal and written) – ability to interact and influence a diverse group of people.
- Experience in building a culture of teamwork, collaboration, accountability and empowerment of employees. Strong problem solving skills in a complex environment.

Preferred:
- 5 year or more experience in supervising an industrial maintenance crew.
- 10 year experience working in industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of government regulations
