Employment: Full Time

One of our customers, a global leader in optimized resource management with over 174000 employees worldwide, that designs and provides water, waste and energy management solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of communities and industries is looking for a Purchase Coordinator based in Muscat Oman.

General purpose of the position:
The Purchasing Coordinator will be in charge of the requests and PO management from end to end, data collection and data registration. S/He will also be in charge of the Suppliers Monitoring, Man-agement and Partnerships along with the sourcing and reporting activities.

The Purchasing Coordinator will be based in Muscat offices and report directly to the MEA Procurement & Supply Chain Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Requests & PO Management – Data collection and Data Registration
- Manage all requests and Purchase Orders received from BU’s and all other departments
- Request Acknowledgement to the Requester and check of all needed information to proceed
- Registration and processing of the request (Reporting)
- Supplier selection (within the preferred suppliers panel first or through dedicated sourcing activity)
- PO Follow-up from end to end
- After sales & Warranty services

Suppliers Monitoring & Partnerships
- Monitor the Preferred Suppliers Panel
- Update all information related to the preferred suppliers
- Be in touch with all Preferred Suppliers for all topics related to their contracts implementation
- Inform the Procurement Director and/or Quality Insurance Manager in case of Supplier’s default
- Follow all claims (Preferred or not)

Suppliers Management
- Audit potential suppliers
- Organize calls for tenders
- Select suppliers based on Table of Comparison
- Insure the follow up of Suppliers (Audits, regular meetings, Supplier profile updating,…)

Internal Communication
- Participate in meetings regularly with other Purchasing I Charge/Coordinators in the region, in order to be informed and to follow-up on the changes in the Purchasing Stratgies, the product family(ies), Standard Documents, local regulation, VME or VE regulations, etc.
- Communicate information, current actions and procedures in advance to local management Purchasing Staff and/or other Department Managers

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing

Specific Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Technical knowledge in water, wastewater, desalination, landfill management
- Local market knowledge

- Language: Fluent in English, Hindi and/or Arabic are an advantage

Other Information:
Frequent business trips required in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, KSA)
