Safety Risk Specialist

Job description / Role

- Develop and update a national Civil Aviation Regulation in accordance with the ICAO Annex 19.
- Establish and implement ICAO State Safety Program for the management of safety in accordance with the national CAR and ICAO Annex 19.
- Establish and implement a safety oversight system in accordance with ICAO Annex 19.
- Act as focal point for safety incident/accident date collection (ROSI), identify functional areas and finalize conclusion of response/resolutions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in an Aviation related field or certified Air Traffic Control or commercial Pilot.
- Specialised training in ICAO Safety Program and standards applicable to aviation operations.
- A minimum of 15 years experience in aviation Safety, including minimum of 5 years as civil aviation regulation Inspector.
- Thorough knowledge of ICAO convention, SARPS, Annexes and: Aircraft Accident causation and prevention theory, Safety Risk Management techniques, Human error.
- Proven experience in preparing and approving State Safety Program Safety Management system, emergency plans documents.
- Proficiency in technical writing, drafting and implementing rules and regulations, related to ICAO Annex 19, State Safety Program and Safety management system.
- Ability to develop and deliver specialized training for State Safety Program and Safety Management System.
- Excellent command of the English language, Sufficient skill in the use of computer applications and proven ability in preparing Safety reports.
