Senior Commercial Auditor

Job description / Role

Ignite have a retained assignment for an Omani national Senior Commercial Auditor to work with a Government owned energy business in Oman.

Reporting to the Group Chief Audit Executive you will plan and execute audits in accordance with the audit plan, assess and report on the effectiveness and adequacy of the internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations, set policies, procedures and business dynamics.

Duties:
- Assist the Group Chief Audit Exec in developing the internal audit strategy in line with the international internal audit trends, legal stipulations and business riskd/plans/objectives set by the board and executive management
- Collect and maintain sufficient audit evidence through the audit process and maintain adequate working papers, audit conclusions and audit files in accordance with the SIAPP to express a professional audit opinion.
- Manage performance to achieve/exceed approved internal Audit KPI's
- Adhere to the business and department policies, procedures, systems and standard and practices of institute of internal audit ( IIA).
- Ensure adherence to and achievement of the risk-based internal audit plan.
- Develop audit reports based on the sufficient audit evidence including audit findings and recommendations and discuss with Executive management
- Prepare and discuss various reports as and when requested but he audit committee and Group Chief Audit Exec

Requirements

You will be degree educated in a relevant discipline and have 10 plus years experience working in an Engineering business. You will have worked in a similar Audit role before and have proven success in delivering a strategy.

This role is open to Omani National.
