Senior Officer - Catering Projects - Catering - Support Services

- Attend site meetings with client-consultants-contractors-project management-Equipment manufacturers for the technical discussions and architectural changes pertaining to the building lay-out, kitchen and laundry equipment’s, blast chiller and blast freezers for the new catering unit at Muscat.
- Attend material analyse meetings for the new catering unit and check samples-technical specifications proposed by the contractor for approval-rejection. Follow up for the rejected materials to ensure it is replaced with good quality approved material and maintain the records.
- Analyse the technical specifications for the various systems like in- house logistics systems, cart transportation and bin conveyor, waste removal system and catering equipment packages for Kitchen and stainless steel equipment’s, ware washing machines, laundry and dry cleaning machines, refrigeration and cold-rooms equipment’s proposed by the contractor for the new catering unit and ensure it is in line with tender specifications and general contract requirements.
- Coordinate-Liaise with catering internal sections for the changes-additional requirements on the layout-equipment’s of their respective sections and liaise with the project team for the changes accordingly.
- Handle emergency and unplanned problems and repairs related to the catering equipment’s and building services.
- Prepare the scope of work for the building works and technical specifications for the procurement of the new catering equipment’s and analysing the vendor proposals.
- Provide technical information, guidance and support to the maintenance team.
- Explore more local and overseas suppliers for the procurement of catering equipment spare parts at the best prices.
- Prepare the scope of works for the maintenance tender items and for 3 rd party maintenance contracts and analyse the proposals and provide the recommendations for the most suitable supplier-contractor to do the work within company policy.
- Prepare the maintenance schedule for catering equipment’s and lounges and other catering outlets and spare parts management for the above equipment’s-areas

Requirements

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical, electrical with 04 years of experience preferably with an Airline Catering Unit /5-star hotel / large sea liner will be advantage. OR Diploma in Engineering in related discipline with 06 years of relevant experience. OR Specialised certificate / license in the related field with Secondary School and having 10 years of WY / Aviation experience in similar functions. Special Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in English (Reading and Writing). Knowledge of in Arabic language will be advantageous. Proficiency in MS office
