Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Overall responsibility for collection and analysis of vibration data to investigate, troubleshoot rotating equipment problems
- Candidate shall be required to visit site to carry out condition monitoring of rotating equipments (80% site related, 20% office work)
- Ensure timely implementation of routine condition monitoring schedules (vibration & oil monitoring) released as per SAP.
- Ensure timely completion of call-condition monitoring related notifications / requests
- Carry out the routine vibration data collection activities such as
* Download routes
* Collect data from the site
* Download data to the server
* Analyze the data thoroughly to identify specific fault frequency.
- Investigate, troubleshoot and prepare preliminary analysis reports for problematic rotating equipments
- Raising notifications in SAP, follow-up with concerned sections and closure after job completion
- Monitor the on-line vibration monitoring system (System-1) on a daily basis.
- Prepare PI workbooks for rotating machines and their accessories. Monitor the machine from operating parameter point of view.
- Assist in site acceptance test runs and commissioning new rotating equipment.
- Balance rotors both on-site using portable analyzer (CSI-2130 & SKF Microlog).
- Carry out shop balancing for large rotors on balancing machine at workshop
- Works closely with maintenance staff and advises on preventative & predictive maintenance procedures.
- Provide relevant information and data required during root cause analysis

Requirements

1) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
2) Level-II VA certification is must
3) 8-10 years in Condition monitoring
4) Working experience in refinery & petrochemical industry (8-10 yrs.)
5) Hands on experience in vibration monitoring of rotating equipment
6) Experience in off-line vibration monitoring
a. Experience in using handheld vibration multi-channel vibration analyzer (SKF Microlog & CSI-2130) and asset management software such as SKF aptitude, AMS Machinery manager
b.Configure equipment in database
c. Hands on knowledge in analyzing machinery vibration problems using vibration signature and phase analysis
d. Define & set all relevant fault frequency
7) Hands on experience in On-line vibration monitoring system such as (System-1 and ADRE)
a. Plot trends, orbit plots, polar plots, shaft centerline, etc
b. Identify abnormal conditions and report through SAP
c. Taking server back-up on a periodic basis
