The Software Manager is a first-line management position providing leadership and guidance to exempt professionals within a business unit, country, or international operation. Activities typically include interpreting policies/practices, identifying/satisfying resource needs and ensuring achievement of business goals. Primary focus includes managing attainment of both profitability and client satisfaction objectives.

Description
The Software Manager is a first-line management position providing leadership and guidance to exempt professionals within a business unit, country, or international operation. Activities typically include interpreting policies/practices, identifying/satisfying resource needs and ensuring achievement of business goals. Primary focus includes managing attainment of both profitability and client satisfaction objectives.

Key responsibility of this position is personnel management, which may include direct and indirect management of a team. Other activities may include developing client relationships, managing technology strategies, and committing multiple resources with the end goal of achieving customer satisfaction, cost, expense, revenue, and other business measurements.

Accountable for business unit, major country or international projects and programs.

Develops products or technology strategies with executive review.

Implements product or technology strategies with no guidance.

Applies broad industry, technology, business and professional knowledge to contribute to policy-making.

Responsible for committing multiple resources and achieving customer satisfaction, cost, expense, revenue and other critical business measurements.

Responsible for quality output/value add for highly visible projects, I/T services and future business development. Analyses business requirements and the selection to technical solutions in very large complex, leading edge projects and formulates technical solutions to very large, complex and leading edge requirements.

Requirements

Minimum five years experiences in selling Software solutions (middleware and analytics) - IBM technology being a solid requirement.

Exposure to other Software vendors is a plus.

Experience in leading a high performance sales team and guiding them in achieving targets.

Customer facing - work closely with customers to understand their pain areas and help them with building the right solutions that fit their needs description
