Operational

Pre-flight Preparations

- Prepare and update staff allocation plan to ensure that all flights is being handled by adequate Turnaround Coordinators and adequate availability of supporting manpower (Equipment Operators, Drivers, Porters, Cleaners, etc.)
- Check to ensure that all staff adhere to safety measures and dress code such as PPE and other related measures
- Coordinate with Apron Services, Transport and Cabin Appearance sections to ensure that all ground equipment are operationally safe to use and liaise with GSEW to take necessary action steps for repair.
- Coordinate with other departments involve in the turnaround handling of a flight.
- Coordinate with the following sections for providing special services to VIP and VVIP
- Transport and Cabin cleaning section: for carrying out cleaning services and proving special transportation.
- Apron Services: for providing adequate manpower.
- Baggage Handling Unit: for carrying out timely baggage handling services.
Flight on Ground
- Monitor all flights and ensure that ramp turnaround activities are carried out as per the various airline requirements, the Service Level agreements and that the on-time-performance (OTP) of flights are maintained.
- Monitor and ensure all passengers disembarked with adequate facilities to special need passengers such as wheelchair and unaccompanied minors
- Monitor and ensure the baggage loading-offloading is carried out based on flight and passenger priority
- Monitor and ensure that all cargo loading-offloading is carried out within the stipulated time
- Monitor, coordinate and ensure that catering department sends right amount of food as per the passenger requirements
- Coordinate with Baggage Handling Unit to ensure timely baggage handling services is carried out to- from the aircraft and check if all baggage checked in at the counter is loaded into the aircraft
- Monitor and ensure safe operation of all equipment in the RAMP area.
Post Flight Activities
- Prepare Shift Report giving complete information of resources, flight allocation, highlights, OTP and discrepancies for record purposes and future reference.
Other Duties
- Manage and motivate the performance and productivity of the teams with in the specific area of responsibility, and collaborate with peers and different sections of Ground Operations to achieve the most productive, cost effective and responsive quality solution for all activities and issues.
- Maintain regular co-ordination and communication with the other Supervisors and Resource Allocators on the shift to ensure that all activities are synchronized, adequately covered and that cross-utilization of resources is achieved where necessary.
- Proactively identify and deal with operational issues, and work with allocators to solve as required.
- Ensure that the handover process from one shift to the other is carried out in an efficient manner.
- While ensuring compliance to the corporate safety standards and safe practices conduct preliminary investigations into any incidents - accidents - loading - baggage discrepancies and provide the operational management with reports of any - all irregularities faced during the shift.
- Conduct follow-up on-job mentoring to all new staff and provide progress reports to On-Job-trainers and Line managers.
- Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned areas-offices ensuring that all the office equipment furniture-fixtures are properly used and maintained.

Requirements

- Fresh Bachelor degree in a related discipline with Cumulative GPA 3.0
- OR Two years college Diploma in a related discipline with 2 years of relevant experience
