Job description / Role
The Well Planner position will provide support in the area of well planning, well plan creation & design for Drilling Services in Oman
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Under general supervision, plans or re-plans directional and horizontal wells
• Run anti-collision analysis using tool error models
• Generates 3-D plots and validate surveys on current wells.
• Prepares well design as per-client direction
• Communicating with client in regards to well plan design
• Prepares reports and surveys
• Handles special projects, as assigned
• Supporting field personal when required
• Handle the planning part in internal well planning audits
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering / Geology / Petroleum etc
• 3 year’s relevant experience in Drilling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENT
• Knowledge of directional drilling, horizontal drilling and well bore positioning survey.
• Advanced PC skills.
• Quick adapt to in house design software
• Completion of technical development plan; specific skill requirements defined within the Well Engineering development Program - achieve Well Planning qualification.
• Good Communication Skills
• Good in Calculation
• Motivated at all time
