Course Overview

The Northampton Business School Master of Business Administration (with CIPS accreditation) is an internationally recognised postgraduate qualification in management that is designed to offer in-depth knowledge of all critical business areas and functions.

The MBA (with CIPS accreditation) is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) permitting students upon successful completion to apply for Chartered Procurement and Supply Professional Status which is internationally recognized as the Advanced Professional level for procurement and supply chain. Those with Chartered Status will be recognized as leaders in the profession and will be much sought after individual as it becomes more commonly required as a pre-requisite to progression within the Logistics, Procurement and Supply chain sectors.

The MBA (with CIPS accreditation) is available to study by distance learning. This mode of study has been selection and tailored to meet the needs of practising senior or potential senior managers in the logistics, procurement or supply chain section.

Eligibility

Applicants will normally be expected to hold a first or second class honours degree from a British university or equivalent and must have a minimum of 2 years relevant management experience.

Relevant management experience will normally include holding a formal managerial position which involves managing people, processes and resources.

During the application process you will be asked to provide evidence of the number of staff managed, your budget level responsibilities and other resources you have coordinated.

You will be asked to provide job descriptions and other relevant information to support your application.

Exceptionally, students may be admitted without degree qualifications so long as they have evidence of at least five years’ experience of management using the criteria above.
