Accountant

Job description / Role

Jaidah Group are looking for an Accountant to join their Accounts team.

As an Accountant you will be primarily responsible for receiving, collating and entering accounting data into the data management system.

Main responsibilities include:
• Receive and collate invoices and documents to be recorded in SAP
• Follow up and post all other miscellaneous Purchase Orders for stationery, refreshments etc.
• Post on a daily basis, all Cash Payment Vouchers issued by the Main Cashier to the appropriate ledger.
• Post on a daily basis, all Bank Receipt Vouchers issued by the Main Cashier and deposited to the bank and ensure the main cash account is reconciled.
• Post bank payments and submit for supervisory review and approval.
• Invoicing sponsored companies for recoverable.
• Post prepayment vouchers and prepare a monthly reconciliation report.
• Records assets, run depreciation process and maintain the asset register
• Assist with and facilitate routine administrative tasks and other related activities per directives.

Salary:
QAR 7,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification/certificate in Accountancy/Finance or Commerce
• Hands on experience with SAP
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures
• Detail oriented
• Organizational ability
• Ability to maintain confidentiality communication skills both written and verbal
• Good computer skills – Microsoft Office/accounting systems

Note: priority will be given to locally available candidates who have transferable visa and are able to join immediately.
