Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a leading hospitality developer that has a variety of investments in Qatar and due to an ever expanding portfolio they are looking to hire an Asset Controller to preserve and protect the assets of the organisation. Being comfortable interacting with senior business leaders, you will engage with a variety of business stakeholders.
Responsibilities will be to ensure that all processes and procedures are implemented and followed throughout the business. An understanding of the hospitality industry would be a distinct advantage as you will be expected to implement standard operating procedures across the organisation to record and track all transactions related to assets, including tagging/labelling of items and maintaining the database of inventory of these assets. You will also be responsible for recording depreciation, managing any property tax or other taxation, as well as produce accurate and timely reports to senior management.
Requirements
The successful candidate should be able to work independently and have a finance or accounting background, specifically within cost control. You should be motivated by impacting change and enjoy improving efficiencies. It is essential that you have excellent communication and IT skills and are extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel. You should also have experience working within hospitality or understand cost controlling within a property environment. In addition, you should be able to plan and manage your time, going above and beyond your day-to-day tasks.
