Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a private company with cross boarder Joint Ventures who is looking to hire a Bilingual (Arabic and English speaking) Assistant Manager - Corporate Governance and Compliance. Reporting to the Group Director of Legal and Compliance, you will ensure that the Board and Committee framework for the company and its subsidiaries is properly implemented and you will be their main custodian.
You will provide advice on all corporate governance, regulatory affairs and shareholder relations as well as contribute to the review of applicable regulations and development of systems, processes and procedures that support the effective management of Governance issues. You will also adopt a proactive approach towards potential problems to ensure that the client is aware of, and complies with legal requirements, corporate governance practices and all regulatory requirements. In addition, you will manage the preparation of the annual report coordinating with departments and key stakeholders and ensure that all communication, transparency and access to information for shareholders is followed.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold a Degree from an accredited University with a minimum of 10 to 12 years relevant experience in compliance, governance, investor relations, risk management and internal control environment. It is essential that you can speak fluent Arabic and English. To be considered you will need to show initiative and be a driven and dynamic individual with enthusiasm and dedication.
