Associate Director - Legal

Job description / Role

• Plan and conduct investigations concerning violations of Qatar Laws, Regulations and Rules and complex Regulatory Litigation involving cross border disputes
• Undertake Evidence Management
• Conduct large scale Forensic Review, including work with Technical Experts to identify and understand complex Financial Transactions as part of the Evidence gathering
• Draft all necessary Documentation for internal and external decision making, conducting interviews and communication purposes

Requirements

• Well recognised Qualifications in Law
• A Legal background in the Financial or Regulatory area would be an advantage, but not essential.
• 5 years + Regulatory Litigation experience, including Drafting Submissions and Pleadings in Superior Courts
• 5 years + Investigative experience, including Interview and Statement-taking skills
• Sound understanding of Financial Statements and associated Financial Documentation
• High level Communication skills – oral and written.
• Excellent judgment and analytical skills
• Excellent understanding of Evidential Requirements (including Case Management, Privilege) and practical experience of Forensic Systems used in large e-discovery processes (e.g. Relativity).
