Cargo Training Specialist Soft Skills - Qatar Aviation Services - Doha

You will be primarily responsible to lead and coordinate the team’s training programs for the learning and development of a Qatar Aviation Service’s (QAS) workforce. Ensure the highest standards of planning, delivery, design and development are delivered. Support with on-going, long term improvement of employee’s skills, enabling them to fulfill their potential within QAS.

You will have to ascertain that the participants meet the prerequisites for training and their skills are upgraded to meet the job requirements and enhance work related performance and professional skills by delivering courses. Also to ensure the use of latest knowledge / information that will provide additional or higher level of competencies and to maintain International Standards and create an environment that supports learning.

Working within a team, you will need to work to pre-set targets and timeliness as a team; and show initiative and originality at the same time. You may be required to work on weekend and irregular hours. Hence would require having a flexible and positive attitude.

- To analyse the soft skill training needs of the staff and develop training programs to meet such needs. Working in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in QAS, such as line managers and senior managers. Helping line managers and trainers. Solve specific training problems, either on a one-to- one basis or in groups.
- Lead all administrative functions of the line to ensure training support services are provided to all instructors/facilitators to perform effectively. Guide in creating a high-performance training function. Align training with the organisation’s requirements. Reduce the risk of course failure.
- Maintain facilities, equipment, property etc. to enable the provision of satisfactory training. Provide adequate budgetary provisions and financial support to meet identified training requirements and growth.
- To support the QAS Management team in the creation of ad hoc soft skill learning projects and events as required by the business strategy and growth.
- Lead soft skill training projects through externally internal/external training programs to ensure employees are competent in their Job. Plan comprehensive training programs aligned. Evaluate its effectiveness.
- Develop and lead soft skill Training statics and management reports. Conduct trend analysis and propose new procedures and working methods to improve the training feedback and courses.

Requirements

You should be a graduate from a recognized university with at least 5 years of job related experience.

A trainer with experience and extensive knowledge of soft skills training and tertiary accreditation in training will be an advantage.

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, organisational and planning skills, strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, sound knowledge of MS office with high level of Presentation skills, experience in teaching and training in a multi-cultural environment is preferred. Good understanding of equal employment opportunity of custom and practices with good knowledge of working languages in Doha will be considered as an advantage.
