Carpentry Production and Installation Manager

Job description / Role

Due to the rapid expansion of our portfolio we are looking for professional Carpentry Production and Installation Manager to join our dynamic team.

You should have extensive technical knowledge and experience in production and installation of carpentry projects. You should love your job and ego to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group of carpenters of cut and shape timber for doors, door frames, skirting, and make and assemble doors, window frames, and staircases and fitted furniture.
- Fit and install wooden structures and decorative furniture and wooden fabrication
- Plan and schedule production plans and installation projects, estimate time and materials, supervise subordinates, maintain records and file and prepare reports.
- Repair of building structures and components.
- Supervise carpentry jobs requiring a high degree of skill.
- Provide assistance on complex jobs.
- Provide estimates of personnel and material required for a job.
- Requisition materials from warehouse or purchases materials from suppliers.
- Ensuring quality standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

- At least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role in carpentry industry (including working supervisor)
- Read and interpret Auto Cad drawings
- Excellent technical understanding of materials, type of woods, paints, polishing, furniture, carpentry machineries and tools.
- Diploma or technical certification in carpentry industry
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of subordinates in team environment.
- Work to continuously improve skills and remain abreast of new technological developments.
- A positive and result-oriented “can-do” attitude
- Trustworthy and dependable
