Category Manager (FMCG)

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with one of the top UK retailers specialising in books, news, stationery and convenience. Our client is looking to hire a Category Manager - FMCG to join their team in Qatar.

Reporting to the Qatar GM, you will develop the customer offer across the core categories and be responsible for performance and trading activities across core categories to deliver maximum sales and profitability. You will also determine and deliver annual sales, contribution budget, net sales, market share growth and the relevant section of the trading P and L for the clients FMCG ranges.

Requirements

In addition, you will be in charge of setting up and managing supplier and publisher relationships, working with the UK head office to support supplier selection and supply. You will also determine the customer offer and in-store display of the category. You will lead and develop marketing plans for an innovative range, providing accurate and timely promotional content to the group marketing team as well as forecast and analyse sales.

The successful candidate should hold previous experience as a Buyer in a convenience store or supermarket. It is essential.
