Chartered Senior ITS Engineer

Job description / Role

• Liaison with engineers and technicians from within the organization and with external consultant and contractors
• Carrying out the review and design of ITS systems and infrastructure for road projects in accordance with Qatar standards, specifications and procedures
• Carrying out inspections and review of existing ITS infrastructure
• Providing ITS advice and guidance into various road infrastructure projects
• Carrying our studies for the implementation and operation of ITS
• Providing support in the preparation of route reports, location reports and area reports as required by the organization
• Liaise with utilities providers and other stakeholders.
• Liaison with other interdisciplinary technical specialist in addressing ITS issues on infrastructure projects
• Perform other related duties based on the requirements of the organization

Requirements

• BSc/ BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering/ Electrical/Electronics from an institute of repute
• CEng, PE, PEng or equivalent Chartership is a must
• Minimum demonstrable experience of 4 years as a Chartered Engineer
• 15 years of demonstrable relevant experience in design, operation and maintenance of ITS infrastructure, with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience with management capacity
• Very good knowledge and experience with international and GCC design and construction code
• Working knowledge of written and spoken Arabic would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
• Experience in Highway design, traffic engineering and allied fields
• Experience with electrical / electronics / telecommunications systems related to ITS
