Contracts Analyst (Transportation Industry) - Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Contracts Analyst with a background in the Transportation/Infrastructure industry to join their team in Qatar. This is a client-side role.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acting as advisor to the management on business and strategic procurement, including performance metrics & strategies, as well as driving communications
• Providing support in procurement & contracts activities by reviewing RFPs, understanding customer needs and sourcing proper suppliers
• Meeting with the Stakeholder’s senior management to understand business priorities and translating them into procurement strategies
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of large, moderately complex suppliers
• Providing input on risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operation strategies
• Acting as an internal customer service point of contact for the procurement function
• Developing streamline communication methods with suppliers. Identifying issues related to vendor and procurement performance and proposing long-term solutions

Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s degree qualification in a relevant discipline
• At least 10 years’ experience in large scale procurement activities, preferably in an ERP environment.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior position dealing with varied procurement activities in corporate
• Must have expert-level knowledge of sourcing & procurement policies & strategies for the construction or civil engineering industry
• Specialist knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation techniques
• Previous history of working internationally and in the Middle East
