Employment: Full Time

The Contracts Manager manages the contract activity for a division, participates in strategic planning activities for specific projects.

Responsible to provide senior-level guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of all contract administration functions in conjunction.

Responsible for the development, review, and maintenance of the Contracts Management Plan and provides updates to the Project Management Plan.

Collaborates with client and management consultant to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.

Review requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to company policy.

Negotiates the more difficult, complex or sensitive issues with the client.

Maintains an active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field from an accredited internationally recognized university with minimum 20 years prime contract administration, contract changes, variations and client negotiations experience related to various infrastructure projects within a large international engineering and construction firm is required.

Must be Chartered (QS) by a recognized international body such as Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Proven ability to perform independently in a contracts manager‘s role, possess excellent written and oral communications skills, and have a thorough of industry practices and regulations related to contracts and their negotiation, experience in construction contract administration, understand / comprehend Terms and Conditions, the legal issues, be able to interpret and understand contracts, must be very organized, must have effective problem solving, and negotiation skills.

Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.

Must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration
