Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose
• Perform offshore crane operations in alignment with safe working practices and in compliance with established company policies and procedures and coordinate with Barge team to assist with Crane Operations.

Key Job Accountabilities - I
• Perform crane operations in collaboration with deck and/or vessel crews in alignment with approved policies and procedures.
• Perform helicopter landing officer duties at the main complex and remote wellhead platforms and assist with helicopter refueling as required.
• Perform crane operations for personnel basket transfers and has responsibility for regular inspection of the personal transfer basket, whilst maintaining records of each inspection.
• Ensures that established guideline and approved lifting procedures are followed during personnel transfer.
• Perform dynamic lifts from support vessels to platform and vice versa in close coordination with vessel captain and facility deck foreman and crew.
• Complete crane inspections at both the main and remote platform as per the established check list for crane inspection requirements. Ensure all appropriate records are maintained in alignment with approved policies and procedures and report any abnormalities for rectification via SAP notification system.
• Prepare a weekly report of crane operations activities and status of the crane healthiness.
• Complete JSA/lift planning for the routine lifting activity and ensure that all requirements associated with the issued PTW are achieved prior to and during the lifting operations. Participation in maintaining good housekeeping standards on all platform locations and assist staff carrying out scaffold/rigging work and maintenance crews in their day to day activities.
• Support the coordination of third party inspection services for re-certification of cranes and lifting equipment’s, including maintaining records of the certified lifting equipment and the disposal of rejected lifting slings and other lifting equipment.
• Conduct regular and frequent reviews for any spares requirements to facilitate safe and efficient maintenance of lifting and rigging equipment.

Requirements

Qualifications
• High School graduate followed by a relevant vocational training programme.
• Certified Offshore Crane Operator from TPI.
• Certified for Rigging and Slinging Supervision and operations.

Knowledge and/or Experience - I
• 6 years’ experience in Offshore Pedestal Crane operation, scaffolding, rigging and helicopter operations in the oil and gas sector, with particular expertise in offshore facilities operating with safety first concept and work to permit system.
• Competent in operations of pedestal mounted crane and having thorough knowledge of safety system associated with the crane operations.
