Job description / Role
The Head of Data Analytics is mainly responsible to spearhead the development of strategic direction and process operations for the Big Data team and come up with direction and guidance for operations, administration, and results
Responsibilities:
• Define and lead the long-term strategy for analytics support, execution and the development of scalable and effective teams
• Analyze and determine the solution design requirements and directions
• Understand business needs and processes to formulate and define scope and objectives
• Impart directions in defining the solutions to support any future business requirements based on an understanding of business implications
• Provide impact on the strategic and/or long-term focal point for business
• Scrutinize long-term effect of new or anticipated strategies and decisions
• Determine opportunities and elevate the use of Smart Data and advanced analytics
• Build support and infrastructure for use in BU’s and the digital program
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Masters degrees in a relevant field, such as computer science, statistics or mathematics
• At least of 10 years of proven expertise and track record in business analytics ideally from the banking industry
• A mix of strong business understanding, architecture knowledge, plus analytical techniques understanding
• Proficiency in business transformation(six sigma/lean/process engineering) & driving value to business via analytics
• Robust leadership skills demonstrating analytics capabilities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to drive business results
• Expert in problem scoping and analytics solution design
